S. Navy - Pharmacist First Class. F. W. Wyatt
enlisted in the Navy at age 18 and served as a Phar- macist Mate First Class. He served with the Ma- rines in the Pacific Theater as a medic, specifically in the Admiralty Islands and the Philippines. After the conclusion of the war, he married Jo Derry- berry Wyatt. During the war Jo served as a nurse in the Nurse Corps at McClosky General Hospital, an Army Hospital in Temple, Texas. She currently
Denton County, Texas (pace of birth) U.S. Army Air Corps - Captain. Jerral Walter Derryberry enlisted in the Army Air Corps at age 20 while studying to be a veterinarian at Texas A&M. He was stationed in London during the Blitz and par- ticipated in a rescue after a bombing. He also flew bombing raids over France and ferried planes to England, North Africa and Brazil. At the time of his death, he was stationed as squadron commander and flight instructor in Stockton, California. The B- 24 Liberator he was teaching on crashed close to Soledad, California. His son, Jerry Derryberry is an artist in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Dallas, Texas.
