Important Deadlines

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011 Registration Deadline:

  • All attending student and Chaperones names must be entered in the portal at www.jsa.org/portal AND the final group registration must be submitted by hitting ‘submit’.

  • After this date, total delegation size may not decrease, and any added students will incur a late fee. Substitutions are permitted at no cost.

Friday, April 1st, 2011 Payment, Permission Slips and Rooming list due to to JSA office:

  • One inclusive Payment and Group Permission slips due to the JSA office at:

800 S. Claremont St. Ste 202, San Mateo, CA 94402

  • Rooming List emailed to Gena Rinaldi at Grinaldi@jsa.org

Friday, April 8th, 2011 Final Taxes counted for your delegation’s total vote count:

  • This is the last day we will accept taxes to be included in your delegation’s vote count. See voting procedure below for more details.

  • If you do not pay your taxes by this date, you will still be required to pay for a minimum of the number of delegates brought to Spring State, but will only be granted the number of votes for the number of students paid by the April 8th deadline.

*If you are unable to make any of these deadlines, you must contact Tracy Poindexter directly at Tracy@jsa.org to make arrangements, or you will incur late fees.

Convention Fees

Students JSA Tax-Paid members - $135

  • Hotel lodging for two nights

  • Educational materials and activities

  • Social events on Friday and Saturday nights

JSA Tax-Paid member with Late Fee - $145

  • Cost per student registered after the January 20th deadline.

Teacher/Advisor Chaperones (One Chaperones is required for every 19 students) Teacher Package 1 - $ Free

  • One bed in a shared 2 Queen bed room, with a Chaperones from another school

(if there are not two from same school) Teacher Package 2 - $160

  • Private room with a King bed for Chaperones

  • Spouses may attend in this room

*We cannot offer refunds after the registration deadline. If one of your members, for whatever reason, cannot attend the convention, we suggest they find another student from your school to attend in their place (preferably of the same gender for rooming purposes, but not mandatory). The replacement student pays the registration fee to the student dropping out. Please notify the Junior State office about the change and send in a permission slip for the new student immediately.
