If you cannot see any spots or rings, the intensity scale is probably off. Press the triangular icon with the visible color spectrum. A vernier button will appear which controls the scaling of intensities in color; sliding it to the left will shrink the range and display “hotter colors” on the screen.
If you are happy with the image, press the Integrate button on the left side of the window. A new window will open showing your input file and having an empty line in the OUTPUT section at the bottom where you MUST ENTER A FILE NAME FOR YOUR OUTPUT FILE (the integration file). On the Image you will see four curved arcs that represent the integration limits of 2θmax, 2θmin, χmax and χmin. You should adjust these by dragging them with the arrow and mouse to maximize your integration limits without integrating obscured parts of the Image Plate (particularly relevant for opaque, surface samples). Experience will become a good guide.
