Child Support Awareness Month
One in three county residents is involved in a child support case, yet the program is often misunderstood. In August, the county’s Department of Job and Family Services joins agencies across the state to promote awareness and education about the child support program. Child support is money required by law to be paid by one parent to another parent to help cover the costs of raising their children.
Among activities planned in the county are:
workshop for attorneys, court officials, employers, and others who play vital roles in the child support system — August 10, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., 222 E. Central Parkway
