What To Do Next
Set up the system to recognize phone numbers that originate Dial via Office Forward calls. See the next section.
Authenticating Dial via Office–Forward Callers
Use the following procedure to authenticate Dial via Office–Forward callers if the mobile phone numbers do not match the Caller IDs.
To ensure that only authorized phones can make Dial via Office–Forward calls, these calls must be dialed from a phone number that exists in the system. To authenticate, you set up the system to match the Caller ID of the incoming Dial via Office–Forward call with the Destination Number that is set up in a Mobile Identity.
One of the following must be true:
The mobile phone number must exactly match the Caller ID, in the form that the Caller ID is passed from the gateway to Cisco Unified Communications Manager, or
You must set up the system to recognize a partial match; for example, if the phone number in the Mobile Identity includes a country code or area code while Caller ID does not
Be sure to account for situations in which the same phone number exists in different area codes or in different countries.
Before You Begin
Compare the Destination Number values in each Mobile Identity with your Caller ID values to determine whether you need to perform this procedure.
