Setting Up Dial via Office Features
Setting Up DVO Optimization for Toll Reduction
Applying DVO Optimization Settings for Toll Reduction to Devices
Use this procedure to apply DVO optimization settings for toll reduction to devices.
Before You Begin Make sure you completed all previous procedures in this chapter.
Step 1 Step 2
Sign in to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration portal. On the Mobile Identity screen for the device, select an appropriate Mobility Profile and save the change.
On the Phone Configuration screen for the user, set the Dial via Office Policy to Let Server Choose, save the change, and reset the device.
Step 4 Step 5
In Cisco Mobile, select Options > Sign in to calling and wait while the settings are updated. Test your configuration using the following guidelines: Watch the phone carefully when you make a call; the Dial via Office number appears briefly.
Make sure the number that is dialed is the correct number for DVO optimization for toll reduction. If you did not configure the system correctly, the call may succeed but may use a DID number that incurs a higher cost than intended.
You may need to have users in different locales test Mobility Profiles that are designed for those locales, if the numbers are designed to be routable only from those locales.
For information about setting up Mobility Profiles, see the “Mobility Profile Configuration” section in the “Cisco Unified Mobility” chapter of Cisco Unified Communications Manager Features and Services Guide, Release 8.5 at h t t p : / / w w w . c i s c o . c o m / e n / U S / d o c s / v o i c e _ i p _ c o m m / c u c m / a d m i n / 8 _ 5 _ 1 / c c m f e a t / f s g d - 8 5 1 - c m tml. . h
