Setting Up Dial via Office Features

Troubleshooting Calling Features

Dial via Office–Reverse Callback is Not Working

Problem Dial via Office–Reverse is not working. Solution Try the following: Check the solutions in Troubleshooting All Dial via Office Calls, page 2-21.

Verify that the Mobile Connect feature is working correctly, independently of the Dial via Office feature. This step ensures that Cisco Unified Communications Manager can reach the device, based on the phone number that was entered on the Mobility Identity screen and the Rerouting Calling Search Space on the Phone Configuration screen.

Check your settings again: Step through the setup procedures in this document and ensure that you entered everything correctly.

Pay special attention to the following:

  • Dial Policy and Dial via Office Policy settings on the Phone Configuration screen

  • Mobility Profile settings

If you save changes in Cisco Unified Communications Manager, click Apply Config, and then click Reset. Cisco Mobile automatically detects the reset and updates the settings.

Unexpected Number Appears in Call History

Problem When the system calls me back to connect my Dial Via Office–Reverse call, a strange phone number appears in my call history.

Solution In your Mobility Profile settings, ensure that you set up the Callback Caller ID to display your Caller ID. By default, the number in the call history is an Enterprise Feature Access Number.

Callback to Alternate Number is Unsuccessful

Problem Callback to a phone number other than the mobile phone number is not successful.

Solution Verify that the Reroute Calling Search Space that you chose for the device supports calls to the specified callback number.
