Troubleshooting Dial via Office–Forward Calls

Problem Dial via Office–Forward is not working. Solution Try the following:

If Dial via Office–Reverse is also not working, check the solutions in Troubleshooting All Dial via Office Calls, page 2-21.

Ensure that your gateway is set up to correctly route Dial via Office Forward Service Access Number calls to the Enterprise Feature Access Number.

Validate the DID number on the voice gateway from the client.

Check your settings again: Step through the setup procedures in this document and ensure that you entered everything correctly.

Pay special attention to the following:

  • Dial Policy and Dial via Office Policy settings on the Phone Configuration screen

  • Mobility Profile settings.

If you save changes in Cisco Unified Communications Manager, click Apply Config, and then click Reset.

Cisco Mobile automatically detects the reset and updates the settings.

Troubleshooting DVO Optimization for Toll Reduction

Problem Calls are being made using a higher-cost routing than expected.

Solution Check the Mobility Profile associated with the device. For Dial via Office–Forward calls, if you did not properly set up the system, the system attempts to connect the call using the following numbers in order:

The Dial-via-Office Forward Service Access Number that is specified in Caller ID in the Mobility Profile

The Enterprise Feature Access Number that is specified in the Mobility Profile The default Dial-via-Office Forward Service Access Number The default Enterprise Feature Access Number
