Setting Up Directory Services for Deployments Without Cisco Unified Communications Manager

On the phone, exit and relaunch Cisco Mobile and enter any settings that are required. (Skip the chat prompts; you will set up chat later.)

What To Do Next Verify that you can search the corporate directory in Cisco Mobile. In the Contacts tab, select Options

Setting Up Directory Services for Deployments Without Cisco Unified Communications Manager

If your deployment does not include a supported version of Cisco Unified Communications Manager, users can manually set up the client for directory services.

Prepare the directory settings for each user based on the information in the tables in the previous section, Prerequisites, page 3-1.

Use the following procedure to set up directory services on a test phone.

Procedure

Directory (LDAP) server

Enter the IP address of your directory server. Use the format YourDirectoryServer.YourCompany.com.

If Cisco Mobile is already installed on the phone, uninstall and then reinstall Cisco Mobile.

Launch Cisco Mobile, and respond to prompts until you see a prompt to enter a TFTP Server. At that prompt, select Options > Manual Setup.
