Magical Munich in March!

Sixth Form German students immersed themselves in the language as they experienced the culture and history of Munich's attractions.

Head of Languages, Miss Lindsay Howard said: "They enjoyed seeing a different side of German culture and experienced many of the traditions associated with the Bavarian region. A range of activities included a visit to the spectacular 'Neuschwanstein Castle', famously regarded as the inspiration of Walt Disney's fairytale castle.

STUDENTS OUTSIDE THE NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE

Students found themselves at the very heart of Bavarian culture as we experienced the traditions of the Hofbräuhaus, sampling regional

delicacies and enjoying a sing-song with the locals! Munich is a vibrant and exciting city and the trip to the Bavarian Film Studios was a great way to show- case some of Germany's film exports and learn about the making of 'Das Boot'! A visit to the Sea-Life Centre and the cinema completed a fantastic, yet hectic few days. The falling snow and freezing temperatures didn't dampen our spirits, only adding to the magical time we spent in Munich!"
