the Hole in the Wall Family of Supporters
The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps and the Hole in the Wall Foundation rely on a family of supporters around the world to ensure the fulfillment of our mission and the delivery of our services to member and developing Camps. The Foundation engages individuals, national and international corporations and foundations with an interest in supporting our family of Camps.
The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps and the Hole in the Wall Foundation give heartfelt thanks to all those who chose to support our Camps by making contributions this year. Some donations exceeded $1 million and others came in the form of handmade quilts and the proceeds from children sponsored fundraising events. All donors are appreciated and are an important part of the magic and laughter that more than 15,000 children with serious illnesses found at Camp this year.
We are proud to acknowledge our leadership contributors who have strengthened the impact of our mission with contributions and pledges of $1 million or more in 2006. We recognize those donors for their extraordinary commitment:

Distributions to Camps
At the Hole in the Wall Camps, we never underestimate the healing power of laughter for children with serious illnesses and life-threatening conditions. Founded by Paul Newman nearly twenty years ago, our development and approach continue to be guided by a commitment to encourage and enable our campers to just be kids again — in fun, supportive, restorative environments that offer full on-site medical care.
Thanks to our generous donors, our family of Camps is growing considerably as we strive to reach many more children year-round. This year, more than 15,000 children came to our Camps free of charge with a host of illnesses, including cancer, sickle cell anemia, and hemophilia. Through carefully planned activities shared with a group of peers facing similar challenges, our campers experienced growth by discovering new abilities and healing from sharing the simple joys of childhood.
Inspired by the empowering effects of Camp, the Hole in the Wall Foundation was established with a goal of extending the magical Hole in the Wall experience to as many children with serious illnesses as possible around the world. Throughout 2006, the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps worked actively with groups in the US and internationally to establish new camps and pilot programmatic innovations while maintaining the highest standard of excellence among our existing Camps.
The accomplishments of the past year have been gratifying, but there is still a lot of work to be done. In recognition of the vast number of new and current diagnoses of serious illnesses among children worldwide, we will continue to reach for new milestones and outcomes.
The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps and the Hole in the Wall Foundation share our heartfelt gratitude for your support in fulfilling our mission. Our Camps are sustained by your contributions and generosity. Together, we continue offering life-changing experiences to our campers and their families.
