One component of Nexus’ vertical integration which provides a particularly notable competitive advantage is its ability to operate as a general contractor, licensed in California and Arizona. With respect to uncompleted or distressed projects, Nexus believes that the most effective manner by which to control cost and limit liability is to maintain a strong focus on budget and schedule management, design and code compliance, subcontractor management, and detailed project documentation through project close-out. The same approach applies equally to new construction, however, Nexus’ services also include all pre-construction services such as design management/coordination, value engineering, budgeting/estimating, and project buyout.
