YUWO brochures were mailed to members and prospective members in August. Membership applications were also accepted at the September Wine and Cheese reception and applications forms were also included in the September, October and November newsletters. Reminder postcards were mailed to delinquent members in November,

During the '06-'07 year there were 342 members of YUWO. This is down from 363 members the prior year. The 342 number includes 24 newcomers.

We continue to encourage members to receive the newsletter by e-mail and 64 members currently do so.

This year donations made by members to the various YUWO scholarship funds were sent to the membership chairperson, documented, and then forwarded to the Assistant Treasurer. Documentation was forwarded to the Corresponding Secretary for acknowledgment of the donations.

Monthly newsletters have been sent from August through May informing the membership of the many terrific ac- tivities sponsored by YUWO. Also our President and Vice President’s monthly message, which gives us a sense of YU- WO’s long-term goals, has been included in each edition. Information on scholar- ship fund giving is available in many editions so that members are encouraged to give to this worthy endeavor.

I would like to thank Manette Adams for her lively articles highlighting members and others important to YUWO. If you have something to say to the members, a review of an activity or kudos for a part of our program, please let me know by email.

Special thanks to Carol and Gil Hogan for handling all our newsletter (and other) mailing needs all year!

Annual Brochure

The production and distribution of the YUWO Annual Brochure was again a team effort by Stephanie Peck, Happy Thomas, Rose Cuomo, and Marty Sherman.

Material concerning activities and programs was gath- ered in May and June. The brochure was sent to the printer in July and was mailed in August by a volunteer group to members and others who might have an inter- est in joining YUWO.

The YUWO website at www.yale.edu/yuwo was created by Marty Sherman in the summer of 1999. On it one can find current and past newsletters, the current year's brochure, recent annual reports, a photo gallery showing past events, a calendar with upcoming dates, information about YUWO scholarships, a membership application and many other helpful links. For the past three years, my husband Martin has kept the website up to date with help from me.
