6.4.1

the steps to be taken by the Contractor to bring the premises up to the relevant standard;

6.4.2

any financial support that is available from the PCT; and

6.4.3

the timescale in which such steps will be taken,

and the Contractor shall comply with any plan specified in this Clause 6.4 and contained in Schedule 2 to this Section 2 (General Conditions of Contract) of the Contract as regards the steps to be taken by the Contractor to meet the requirements in Clause 6.3  and the timescale in which those steps will be taken.

Clinical Reports

6.5

Where the Contractor provides clinical services which are Out of Hours Services to any Patient, other than under a private arrangement, it shall prepare a Clinical Report relating to the consultation and any treatment provided.

6.6

The Contractor shall provide the Clinical Reports prepared by it under Clause 6.5 in respect of Out of Hours Services to the person with whom the Patient is registered for the provision of Essential Services or their equivalent, in accordance with the Quality Standards detailed in PART 5.

6.7

Where the Contractor provides clinical services other than Out of Hours Services to any Patient, other than under a private arrangement, it shall prepare a Clinical Report relating to the consultation and any treatment provided and shall, as soon as reasonably practical, provide a copy of the Clinical Report to the PCT.  The PCT shall send any Clinical Report received to the person with whom the Patient is registered for the provision of Essential Services or their equivalent or if that person is not known to the Primary Care Trust, Local Health Board, Health Board or Health and Social Services Board in whose area the Patient is resident, unless it is the PCT. 12

Storage of Vaccines13

6.8

The Contractor shall ensure that:

all vaccines are stored in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions; and

12 Clause 6.7 is required by APMS Direction 5(1)(b) for any services which do not fall within the definition of Out of Hours Services (e.g. services provided during core hours).

13 Clause 6.8 is required by APMS Direction 5(1)(c).  In practice, it is unlikely that OOH providers will be need to stock vaccines.
