Art

Students create observational studies based on the theme of urban and rural environments using a range of media and processes.

Students research the work of at least two artists or designers whose work inspires them. They create transcriptions of their work and explain how the work of the chosen artists will influence their own ideas.

Students use a range of processes and techniques to develop their ideas towards a personal response. They work from their strengths to show how they have explored colour composition, and style.

Students create a personal response to conclude the project.

The work must show imaginative and original qualities and connections with the work of others.

Inspired by visiting industry professionals students will consolidate their newly honed skills into their devised performance piece. Experimenting with sound, lighting and stage design, all in readiness for a public

“Perils of Pauline” Scripted work considering staging and the creation of appropriate characters.

Reviewing performance, research social and historical context, style, genre, period, target
