Resolution # 0736 – HMM Video Inspection Program

Motioned by Ms. Boquist, seconded by Mr. Moschello to Approve the Resolution #0736, Authorizing a contract for professional engineering services for the sanitary sewer system internal video inspection program be awarded to Hatch Mott MacDonald of Millburn, New Jersey, pursuant to their proposal dated November 9, 2007, at a cost not to exceed $65,900.00, for a 12-month term, from November 27, 2007 through November 26, 2008.

Resolution # 0737 – Award of Transformer Bid

Consulting Engineer’s Report

Mr. Valese referred to his Consulting Engineer’s report and informed the Authority that:

Sewer I/I Investigation – HMM has completed a draft of the Phase 2 report and will provide the final report to the BTSA shortly.  Mr. Valese will present HMM’s findings to the BTSA.  HMM is in the process of linking to the BTSA existing GIS database the project findings such as pipe and manhole defects and their location, digital photos, digital inspections, and other defects found during the project.  The project is approximately 98% complete at this time.  HMM has provided the Authority with its proposal to video inspect approximately 25,000 lf of sanitary sewer in 2008, during significant rainfall events (satisfactory to activate rainfall induced I/I), weather permitting, to locate prohibited sump pumps, other prohibited connections and defects in sewer mains and PBSC’s.  This is part of the TBSA’s continuing effort to reduce extraneous flow to its sanitary sewer system.
