was Jo-Med Construction with a bid of $258,650. The only other bid received was from Adamsville Maintenance in the amount of $402,964. HMM’s Engineers estimate for the work was $311,500. Jo-Med Construction will sub-contract the manhole grouting and patching to NEPCCO who has satisfactorily completed work under the first rehabilitation project for the BTSA. HMM has limited experience with Jo-Med Construction, however their experience to date has been satisfactory. HMM feels that the BTSA has obtained a favorable bid for the work. The work in general includes grouting and patching of defects in sanitary sewer manholes; repairing sanitary sewer manhole risers; partial excavation and replacement of sanitary sewers; partial excavation and installation of repair clamps on sanitary sewer defects; and spot excavation and replacement of private building service connection fittings and appurtenances. The work is required to be completed in 120 calendar days from notice to proceed with the exception of final pavement restoration.
Phosphorous Pilot Study – HMM has incorporated the revisions discussed with the BTSA to the report for the work under Task 1 evaluation of temporary and permanent facility alternates for assistance with the phosphorous reduction demonstration trials. The temporary and permanent alternatives including their costs and schematic plans and process diagrams of the various alternative facilities and chemicals recommended will be provided to the BTSA within the week for review.
