In cars with metallic windows or with a

lot of electronics, the range of the hand- held transmitter can be reduced consid- erably under certain circumstances.

Noise emission

Max. Sound pressure level < 70 dB (A)

Troubleshooting

Ensure that work on the electri- cal installation is carried out only by a qualified electrician. Pull out the pow- er plug before removing the cover.

The drive does not run at all:

  • 1.

Check the fuses in the building.

  • 2.

Check the fuses in the electronics module.

  • 3.

Are the bridged Western plugs in the correct external sockets [34] (4 = green, 3 = yellow)?

  • 4.

Have the electrical connection checked by an electrician.

10

The drive runs incorrectly:

  • 1.

    Has the rider latched in?

  • 2.

Is the toothed belt set properly [28]?

  • 3.

Is the door threshold iced up or is its movement obstructed?

  • 4.

Does the drive switch off or over dur- ing the run? Safety obstruction device set properly. Check the door and ad- just. Reset [43, 44].

  • 5.

Does the door close completely? Ad- just the switching cams correctly; check the door [38-].

  • 6.

Is the run-off program not working? Reset and reprogramme [43, 44].

The drive cannot be operated via the hand-held transmitter:

  • 1.

Is the LED flashing on the hand-held transmitter? Replace the batteries [67].

  • 2.

Is the red LED (1) on the drive head not flashing during operation of the hand-held transmitter? Delete pro- grammed radio controls [48] and re- programme the hand-held transmitter [37].

  • 3.

Reception too weak: Check the an- tenna connection or install an exter- nal antenna [76].

The drive cannot be operated via

the hand-held transmitter: Check the wall-mounted push button and control cable.

The obstruction safety device is

not working: Reset and then perform basic setting (learning run) [43, 44].

Maintenance

Monthly:

  • Check the obstruction safety device: The drive must be turned around if the closing edge of the door meets a 50 mm high obstruction standing on the ground.

  • Check the garage door electric opera- tor connection to the ceiling and wall.

  • Check that the emergency release device is working properly.

  • Check that the slip door fuse (if present) is functioning.

Annually:

  • In accordance with the manufactur- er's instructions.

  • Lubricate or oil the push rod joints.

  • Check the tension of the toothed belt; tighten if required [28].

Installation

[66] Resetting the electronics

(Reset) If the electronics have to be reset to the basic setting, proceed as follows:

  • Undo and remove [29-31] the lamp cover (1.2) .

  • Press the “Program“ (2) and “Pulse”

    • (3)

buttons at the same time until the LED (1) begins to flash. If the LED stops flashing, the resetting process is complete and the buttons can be released.

On resetting, the obstacle charac- teristic and gentle run-out starting point are reset. The programmed values for the DIP switch are retained as are the radio commands. The drive light flashes until the reset procedure has been suc- cessfully completed.

  • Basic setting: With the hand-held transmitter or “Pulse” button (3), move the door at least twice without intermediate stop into both end po- sitions.

  • Snap the lamp cover back on [62-65].

[67] Change the battery of the hand-held transmitter

  • Pull off the housing cover (2).

  • Remove and replace battery (1).

Use only leak-proof batteries. Pay attention to the correct polarity when in- serting the battery. Dispose of old bat- teries in accordance with environmental protective legislation.

  • Push the housing cover back on.

[68] Replacing the lamp bulb Pull out the power plug.

  • Undo and remove the lamp cover

    • (1.2)

      [29 - 31].

      • Replace the lamp bulb (1).

Lamp holder E14 - max. 40 W.

  • Snap the lamp cover back on

[62 - 65].
