The door drive may be activated only with the door coupled. If this is not observed, the electronics must be reset in the basic position (Reset).
Before activating the drive en- sure that no persons or objects are in the range of movement of the door.
Setting the hand-held transmitter
There is no protection from switching off the power when pro- gramming the hand-held transmitter.
1-command hand-held transmitter
The upper button on the hand-held transmitter is already set to remote radio control in the factory. Proceed as follows: If you wish to programme a second hand-held transmitter (for programming, hold the hand-held transmitter as close as possible to the drive head):
Press the “Program” button (2) briefly – the red LED (1) flashes: Press the uppermost button on the hand-held transmitter within 20 seconds – the red LED lights up continuously (coding is completed).
In the case of incorrect coding, the radio commands can be deleted again - see hand-held transmitter operation.
4-command hand-held transmitter
The uppermost button on the 4-com- mand hand-held transmitter is already set to the remote radio control setting in the factory. Proceed as follows to set an- other button on the hand-held transmit- ter or to set a second hand-held trans- mitter (hold the hand-held transmitter as close as possible to the drive head for programming purposes):
Press the “Program” button (2) briefly – the red LED (1) flashes: Within 20 seconds, press another as yet unprogrammed button on the hand-held transmitter – the red LED lights up continuously (setting is completed).
In the case of incorrect program- ming, the radio commands can be de- leted again – see hand-held transmitter operation. When commissioning further hand-held transmitters, repeat the entire programming process as described above. Information on the multi-channel operation of the hand-held transmitter is provided in the section on the hand-held transmitter.
Adjustment of the switching cams On delivery both switching cams (A, Z) are approximately 30 cm from the drive
Switching cam for ”Closed” position = Switching cam for ”Open” position =
Activate the ”Pulse” button (3) or programmed hand-held transmit- ter. The door opens until the switching cam (A) travels to the end switch in the drive head or un- til another impulse is activated. Press the ”Pulse” button once again to make the door close.
Disconnect drive pin (7.1) and move switching cam (A) towards the door. To reset, the switching cam should jut out from the drive head by at least 50 cm.
The drive pin must be inserted through one of the three boreholes, so that it penetrates centrally between two gear teeth.
Allow the door to travel in the newly set direction and check the entire opening procedure. Re-adjust if required.
Adjust switching cam (Z) for ”Closed” position far enough so that the door closes snugly.
If the door lies against the lintel frame too tightly on closure, the obstruc- tion safety device automatically switches the drive over to open the door. In this case, the switching cam (Z) must be set back a little.
Basic setting (Learning run) Reset the electronics to the basic setting (Reset): Press the “Pro- gram“ (2) and “Pulse” (3) buttons at the same time until the LED (1) begins to flash. If the LED is no longer flashing, resetting (Reset) is complete and the buttons can be released. The drive light now begins to flash rapidly indicating that the learning runs must be car- ried out.
With the hand-held transmitter or ”Pulse” button (3) move the door from the closed position at least twice without intermediate stop into both end positions: The soft run-out distance of the door drive and the maximal motor current to cut the power (obstruction safety device) are controlled automatical- ly. Click in light panel.
If the drive light flashes slowly dur- ing a learning run, there is an obstruc- tion in the door opening mechanism. Repeat the basic setting after checking the door adjustment and removing the obstacle.
Checking the sensitivity to obstruc-
tion The obstruction sensitivity is a clamp-on protective device intended to prevent in- jury from a self-closing door (static cut- off 150 N).
Perform the test run: Stop the door with both hands at hip height. In the closing process, the door must stop automatically and run back approximately 30 cm when it meets resistance. In the opening process, it must come to rest automatically if it is stopped.
Once the power has been switched off, the drive light will flash until the next impulse or radio command.
Instruct all persons using the door as to its proper, safe use. There is a risk of injury due to crushing or cutting at the closing edges and with the mechanical device. Open and close the door only when you can see the area of movement of the door and when no people or objects are in the immediate vicinity.
