Flag Day – Pledge Allegiance
Special Olympics State Games Dance, Harvard University, Boston, (Parrot Points
Awarded) We provide the Saturday night entertainment for the thousands of athletes at the MA state games. We’ll need volunteers to set up for the dance, chaperone, and then help with cleanup. Stay tuned for more details. Directions:
From the West Take the Massachusetts Turnpike east to Exit 18 (Allston/Cambridge). After paying toll, bear left at fork towards Allston. Turn right at second set of lights onto North Harvard Street. Proceed approximately one mile.
From the North Take I-93 south to Storrow Drive exit. Take Storrow Drive west for approximately five miles. Exit at Harvard Square/North Harvard Street. At top of exit, turn left onto North Harvard Street .
From the South Take I-95 north to I-93 north. Follow I-93 until Exit 20 (Massachusetts Turnpike). Take Mass. Pike west to Exit 20 (Allston/Cambridge). After paying toll, bear left at fork towards Allston. Turn right at second set of lights onto North Harvard Street.
Via M.B.T.A. Red Line to Harvard Square Station. The Soldiers Field Complex is a 10-minute walk from the square, down JFK St. and over the Charles River. Several bus routes make stops at Harvard Square as well. The 66 and 86 routes include stops on North Harvard Street in front of Harvard Stadium.
June 18th – Clancy Darling Road Race, Pembroke,
9:00am (Parrot Points Awarded) We will be water boys again this year as the runners race to raise money for a scholarship fund in memory of 3 young Notre Dame Academy students who were killed in a car accident on their way to school. There is a 5-mile run, a 2-mile run, and a 1-mile fun walk. More information and a registration form, go to www.clancydarlingroadrace.atfreeweb.com . Turn right onto Rte 14. Turn into the parking lot at the Police Station. Go through that parking lot into the second lot.
June 18th – After the race cookout - The Spaulding’s Home, Pembroke BYOB and potluck barbeque after the race. Directions from the finish line will be available that day.
