A program review will be conducted by the NICA/MEP Committee at the end of each quarter. The review will focus on the Center’s quarterly activities, performance, and upcoming opportunities and challenges.
Year 10 activity will be dominated by four main activity categories:
MEP marketing presentations to Nebraska’s SMEs, Economic Development professionals and partners;
Preparation and implementation of a NMEP strategic plan;
Consultations with Nebraska’s NICA/MEP Board members on targeted industry issues and businesses retention opportunities, and;
Implementation of 360vu Branding
The Customer Agent (CA) is the Center’s primary resource for service delivery. The CA staff is located across a geographically diverse region facilitating service delivery for a majority of the state’s 93 counties. The Southwest Region is serviced by CA’s from surrounding areas, as well as partners.
Nebraska MEP provides services to the state’s small-to-medium size manufacturing in the following areas:
Engineering and Technology:
NMEP services include: process analysis and improvement, industrial and management systems; engineering, Lean Manufacturing, control systems, general testing and evaluation planning, ISO 9000m design qualification testing, factory acceptance testing. We also offer evaluative services in areas such as plant layouts, energy/utility consumption, conservation and waste and pollution prevention.
Market Development – Nebraska’s MEP provides market and business development assistance for manufacturers in the area of business plan and operations plan development, export marketing assistance, financial analysis, market research, competitive industry analysis, entrepreneurial assistance and human resource management review.
