Fall 2003 UGA Parents and Families 3

What is the Parents & Families Council?

The Council of the UGA Parents & Families Association is made up of parents of current UGA undergraduate students who have agreed to contribute $2,500 annually to the UGA Foundation, attend a fall and spring meeting of the Council, and participate in selecting recipients for grants from the UGA Parents & Families Fund. From this group come ideas about improv- ing communication between the University and parents and families, suggestions regarding programs of interest, and support for activities of the Association. If you are interested in serving on the UGA Parents & Families Council, please contact Tammy Gilland at (706) 542-8180 or <tgilland@uga.edu>.

Parents & Families Association Days for Mens Basketball and Baseball

Need an excuse to visit your son or daughter during Spring semester? How about helping us celebrate UGA Parents & Families Association Day at a Men’s Basketball game or a Diamond Dogs game — or both? Or, put this on your holiday wish list. For each event, the charge per person will cover lunch and your game ticket. Students who do not otherwise have tickets for the basketball game will need to pay the regular charge in order to sit in the Parents & Families block. The baseball game is free to students with a current UGA ID. Lunch for students only will be $10.00.
