Satisfaction and Positive Outlook on Life

Overall, members of the sandwich generation have a positive outlook, even though many are actually in a stage of life often characterized by losses.

Older boomers—especially the whites—are quite satisfied with their lives; 53 percent are very satisfied and 34 percent are somewhat so. Only 10 percent report dissatisfaction.
