Programme Delivery Model
Broadband Delivery Programme
Benefits measurement framework
Given that the roll-out of Superfast Broadband is likely to happen within a short period of time, the lessons to be learned from early local broadband projects, in terms of the economic effects, need to be identified quickly. Therefore, a monitoring and evaluation framework is needed to produce information about the outputs that can inform both the approach to the subsequent wider roll-out of Superfast Broadband and any longer term evaluation of the intermediate and final outcomes that might be implemented in the future.
BDUK and Defra have jointly commissioned the development of a usable analytical framework based on a robust and coherent set of indicators. This will also include guidance for local bodies on the use of this framework. The framework will allow monitoring to be undertaken on a consistent basis across the country, and is intended to be finalised in the second quarter of 2011.
