Mould and Die Engineering Technology
Mould and Die Engineering Technology Research would deal with design of mould CAD/CAM, products/moulds designing, developing and making fast, computer emulation technology, etc.
Layered Polymeric Systems
The research to be conducted on Layered Polymeric Systems will include research at the intersection between the physical sciences and polymer science and engineering. The research will center on a layering process that imparts features on the micro- and nanoscales.
Digital Design and Manufacturing
The research would integrate innovative computing with product design, materials characterization, and manufacturing technologies. Creation would be a multi-disciplinary research center with strengths in design, materials, solid mechanics, process control, and manufacturing. The research activities would cover the entire product development cycle-including product design, computational analysis, rapid manufacturing and process control, experimental characterization of material properties, and dimensional metrology.
Environmentally Responsible Solvents and Processes
The research to be conducted on Environmentally Responsible Solvents and Processes (CERSP) would be to enable a revolution in sustainable technology through cutting-edge, integrated physical science/engineering; social science; and educational programs. Research areas include: Macromolecular Synthesis and Engineering, Functional Materials and Devices, Nano structures and Separations.
