Appendix A defines variations and planned delivery timetables
The ACORD DRI standard provides the publisher with the option to delegate to a Repository Operator the task of notifying potential consumers of a document that a document is available. This is achieved through the issuance of the Notification List with the DRI message. The Notification List aggregate contains a repeatable party aggregate. The Notification List aggregate is optional under ACORD.
Notification list, if sent, may be ignored by the consumer.
On receipt of a document, the Repository Operator will compare the parties listed in the ACL of that document with information contained on their registration tables. If a party on the ACL has requested notification that a document has arrived or metadata on an existing document has changed, the Repository Operator is under obligation to the party to notify them of the arrival/change.
