London Market Implementation of ACORD DRI Messages and Data

Two classes of London Market customisation are provided: Increased restrictions and additional elements and attributes. For DRI, only increased restrictions are relevant.

Increased restrictions cover examples such as an element that is defined as mandatory for the London Market, but which, in the ACORD XML Schema, is defined as optional. If such an element is missing from a message it would pass validation by the ACORD XML Schema but would fail validation mechanisms applied in the London Market. Restriction requirements are defined and validated within the LM Validator (Schematron).

Data elements and attributes defined in ACORD as mandatory are included in the London Market sub-set as mandatory items.

Data elements and attributes defined in ACORD as conditional are included in the London Market sub-set having the same conditionality rules applied. ACORD conditional data elements and attributes may be defined in the London Market as mandatory.

Data elements and attributes defined in ACORD as optional are included in the London Market sub-set as optional, conditional or mandatory.
