Failure to complete any part of the application form or submit any documents asked for, or failure to comply with any reasonable request from the Trust or their representative(s) will delay the application process and may invalidate it.
Should an applicant encounter problems answering any of the questions, they or their representative are advised to contact the Trustees’ Office (above) for assistance.
All applicants must sign the declaration on page 4 of the application form and return the whole of it, plus any enclosures, to the above address marked for the attention of the Clerk to Trustees. By signing the form, applicants agree to the Trust’s data protection procedures on page 4. Forms that are not signed or not completed properly will not be considered and will be returned. Trustees reserve the right to interview an applicant and/or make further enquiries to clarify the information given on the form.
All application forms will be date stamped by the Clerk to the Trustees on the date they arrive in the Trustees’ Office. The Trust aims to advise applicants of the outcome of their application within six weeks of the date it is received.
6. Applicants should be aware that there are a number of constraints on the Trust’s ability to make grants. Grants can only be made to persons residing within the boundaries of the Old Urban District of Uxbridge who the trustees consider to be in ‘conditions of need, hardship or distress’, or for the purposes of ‘promoting their education’. The Old Urban District of Uxbridge includes Cowley, Uxbridge, Harefield, Hillingdon and Ickenham postcodes. Applicants are advised to obtain guidance from the Clerk to the Trustees if they are in any doubt as to whether their postcode lies within the area of benefit.
