Starbucks Growth Targets
At its annual meeting in October 2002, the company announced the following goals for 2003:
w Open at least 1200 new stores in 2003;
w Achieve comparable stores sales growth of 3-7%, with monthly anomalies;
w Increase total revenues by 20%, and; w Achieve EPS growth to $.66 for fiscal 2003 (up from $.65).
In addition, in the next 3-5 years the company is targeting:
w Revenue growth of 20% per year; w EPS growth of 20-25% per year; w To have 10,000 stores in 60 countries by the end of 2005.
