JTAG Implementation Overview

  • Implements the test access port state machine, or TAP, as specified by IEEE 1149.1

  • MSP430 JTAG does NOT implement boundary scan

  • Access is protected by JTAG security fuse

    • Physical fuse to permanently disable I/F

    • Fuse blow cannot be made undone
