Guidelines for Paper/Symposium Presentation

1.

Each

paper

session,

which

consists

of

4

paper

presentations

and

open

discussion,

lasts

for 80 minutes. The time allocated for each paper presentation is 20 minutes (including question and answer time). Presenters should plan your presentation according to the 20 minutes allocated. The first named person, that is, the principal presenter of the first

paper will

be the Chairperson of respective session.

To

facilitate the smooth

delivery

of presentations, session chairpersons are requested to ensure that

  • a.

    each session begins on time;

  • b.

    each paper presentation is allocated 20 minutes;

  • c.

    the entire session is kept to the allocated 80 minutes time slot; and

  • d.

    each session ends on time.

2.

Each symposium is scheduled for 80 minutes that should be divided among 3-4

presenters addressing the same issue from different perspectives. chairperson is responsible for introducing the presenters, controlling session and facilitating questions.

In each session room basic computer installed with Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office 2007 and projection equipment will be provided. Please ensure that your files are compatible with the Microsoft Office 2007 version. A backup CD is always advisable just in case there is another wrong with your flash drive.

It is recommended that you bring along 20 copies of your presentation for interested audience. Presenters are responsible for obtaining permission to use any copyrighted materials.

Guidelines for Poster Presentation Preparation of Posters

1.

Each presenter will be assigned a display board of 94 cm (W) by 177 cm (H) with a session code. Pins will be available in the Conference Secretariat Office near the conference venue.

All presenters should be present throughout respective presentation sessions, present the

Each presentation must include a title banner positioned at the top-centre of the display

board, large enough to be seen from about 3 meters away.

The title banner should

include the title, the author’s and co-author’s name and the affiliation.

There is no limitation on the size, number and materials of posters, but the contents should not be too crowded and the font size should not be smaller than 20 points. The posters should be numbered to indicate the logical sequence of the contents, and be placed from left to right, from top to bottom.

4.

The Conference does not provide any facilities for presenters to prepare their posters on

site.

It is, therefore, the responsibility of the presenters to prepare their posters before

arriving at the conference venue.
