Annual Maryland Crab Cake Dinner & Gala Reception

on-deck aboard our flagship T/V Kings Pointer

while enjoying the musical entertainment of

Captain Richard Harman - "The Singing Captain"

Evening guests were welcomed aboard by the official receiving line- T/V Kings Pointer Master Captain Richard (KP ’68) & Gail (‘A) Barry, Midshipman Ernesto Rodriguez ’08- Midshipman Master, and KP Chesapeake Vice President Mike (KP ’61) & Maureen (‘A) Schneider.  Boarding passes and USMMA pins were issued to a record 240 guests by Tom Lamm ’79- Treasurer and Joanne Hicks ‘A-   Membership Chairman.

Our Quarterdeck Ceremony & Evening Festivities kicked off at 7:00PM with a grand salute observed - Water Cannon honors to the T/V Kings Pointer provided by Baltimore City Fire Department Marine Division,

Fireboat No. 1 Mayor Thomas D’Alesandro, Jr. under the command of Captain Jim Smith.  

This spectacular salute was accompanied by music selections by Captain Richard Harman-  

"The Singing Captain" .  and the sounding of horns by vessels on the harbor!  This awesome presentation can be viewed by clicking on the Maritime TV link above.    

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Kathleen Pavarini ’01- Midshipman & Parents Liaison and Scott Winfield ’91- Director, Internship Development & Midshipman Berthing.

A Chesapeake Chapter Event Welcome was provided by Gary G. Hicks ’76- President and a Welcome Aboard the T/V Kings Pointer was provided by Captain Richard Barry ’68.
