There will be 12 quizzes during the semester that will focus on the online PowerPoint lectures. Each quiz will be will cover the material on the PowerPoint lectures and chapter readings. Each quiz is worth 10 pts, for a possible 110 points (the lowest quiz grade is dropped and one bonus quiz is included). There are no make-ups for missing quizzes. There will be no make-up quizzes.
WRITING ACROSS THE CURRICULUM: Correct grammar, spelling, and use of the English language will be taken into consideration when grading written assignments.
Cell phones and pagers must be silenced during class. You must explain to me the need for an urgent call in the beginning of class. No eating or drinking will be allowed in the laboratory classroom. Laboratory computers will be used for course-related activities only.
Violations of academic integrity (cheating on tests) will not be tolerated. Any student violating academic integrity standards will receive a zero for that particular assignment and reported to student affairs office. Two violations of academic integrity will result in a “F” in the course and a report filed with student affairs.
The penalty for plagiarism is more severe.
