A glance at the topics planned for discussion reveal a wide range of activities and goals that Coffs Harbour City Council has been pursuing and, in many cases, achieving for a number of years.

As a city, we have been regarded for some years as a leader in innovative approaches to planning and resource management.

Last year, we were chosen by the NSW Government as a focus for its Cities Taskforce group, which will assist Council in developing a strategy to maximise the region’s economic potential.

Coffs Harbour is only the second centre outside of the Greater Metropolitan Region in NSW to be chosen for a Cities Taskforce focus and it underlines the Government’s view that we are a key economic driver for the entire Mid North Coast region.

The ICTC Society would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organisation of ICTC 2010. In particular, we would like to thank the team from Coffs Harbour City Council and Coffs Coast Marketing. The ICTC Society would like to thank Peter Williams and Andy Taft, our keynote speakers, who have travelled all the way here from the United Kingdom & USA respectively. We would also like to thank our sponsors and exhibitors and our session speakers who sacrificed their valuable time to prepare their presentations.

Conference Venue – Opal Cove Convention Centre

However, we have not achieved any of our goals without listening to and seeking expertise and knowledge from a wide range of sources.

With its entrance located on the Pacific highway just 7 km North of Coffs Harbour City centre, Opal Cove Convention Centre commands an absolute beachfront position on the beautiful beach of Korora Bay. Opal Cove is located just a few minutes’ drive from numerous local tourist attractions in Coffs Harbour in Northern New South Wales.

Your conference, which will bring a huge number of highly respected experts and speakers together, is going to be a great place for us all to learn.

I am sure that the information and ideas that will be shared at the ICTC conference will help communities all over Australia – including our own – grow and develop in the future.

The Convention Centre offers a relaxed meeting environment with ample space for a comprehensive Trade Exhibition which can be viewed during the morning and afternoon tea breaks as well as at lunch time.

I also hope that you can find the time, while here on the Coffs Coast, to judge for yourselves exactly what we have to offer as a community and a holiday destination.

Accommodation options can be found in the accommodation section of this brochure.

I can certainly guarantee you a very warm welcome.
