the programme level, such as lower entry and exit requirements, poor and inadequate teaching techniques, weak modes of delivery, and poor monitoring.
Cross-border education continues to face many issues that still need to be addressed. These issues include the emergence of new forms of CBE, which also require various types of quality assurance mechanisms.
VI. Closing Ceremony
Stamenka Uvalic-Trumbic praised the participants for a lively discussion. She highlighted several points of the meeting, noting that through the regional convention process, new bridges were being built between Europe, Africa and the Asia-Pacific; between different Regional Conventions (Asia-Pacific,Arusha and Lisbon); between higher education areas (Bologna,Africa); as well as between quality assurance and recognition of qualifications, national qualification frameworks, diploma supplement, technical/vocational and higher education, cross-border higher education. She also thanked the hosts, KCUE, KNCU, UNESCO Bangkok, chairs, and resource persons for the meeting.
