Deficiency symptoms of potassium (K) in oil palm

The most common symptom of potassium deficiency is “confluent orange spotting”, starting with small rectangular, pale green spots on pinnae of older leaves. These spots later turn orange and in severe cases the center of the spots and the tips and margins of affected pinnae will become necrotic. Source: Bulletin 12, 1991, IPI, Horgen, Switzerland.
