Full air suspension for AMC chassis

Air-PREMIUM X4 is the latest development in air-suspension systems from AL-KO.

Air-Premium X4 provides unprecedented stability and comfort on any journey, and is particularly suitable for fragile loads & equipment, and / or passenger transport, such as emergency vehicles.

Four independent suspension systems (two on the front and two on the rear axle) work together to dampen vibrations from uneven driving surfaces, and ensure loads and passengers are safe and secure.

An intelligent, electronic control system actively regulates and adjusts each system separately, according to the current load.

In addition to the unique and comfortable drive quality, the AIR-PREMIUM X4 keeps the vehicle level, independent of the load

OPERATION

If during loading or unloading axle load differences occur, the drive level will be electronically regulated by air being pumped in or out of the spring air reservoirs - provided the ignition is switched on.

Dynamic differences in axle loads will not trigger the regulation process as they occur below the response time of the electronic system.

To ensure equal distance between chassis and road, four level sensors constantly measure spring movement and evaluate it electronically.

With the ignition on, the drive height is automatically adjusted between the front and back axle, according to factory setting.

This occurs independently from the load level.

STANDARD RAISE / LOWER FUNCTION

Raise / lower the entire chassis by pressing a button, while travelling at maximum speed of 25km/h.

Front Axle: lifts circa 60 mm/lowers circa 40 mm Back Axle: lifts circa 55 mm/lowers circa 65 mm

AUTOLEVEL FUNCTION (OPTIONAL)

Just by pressing a button, level the vehicle within the available axle spring stroke range independently in any position to a horizontal comfort level.

Arrows - on switch below lift and Lower whilst stationary and at speeds of up to 25 km/h.

The red button activates the optional Auto-Level function - the vehicle adjusts to a horizontal level at its pitch.
