FREE and REDUCED LUNCH The current economic climate has affected all of us in one way or another. The good news is that parents may submit an application for free or reduced meals at any time during the school year. Applications are held in strictest confidence and there is no singling out or overt identification of students that receive meal benefits. If your situation has changed and you feel you may qualify please complete an application and return it to John Overcash, SNS, Food Service Director, C/O Littleton Middle School, 55 Russell Street, Littleton, MA 01460. If you have any questions please call John Overcash at 978.490.7117 or e-mail at email@example.com. Applications are available on the School Web site at: http://www.littletonps.org/district/parent-resources/lunch-menus
LMS ANNUAL SCIENCE FAIR 7th and 8th graders spent most of December researching their science fair topic. With the aid of graphic organizers, after school help and peer editing, they composed a Review of Literature research paper. Presently, students are figuring out HOW they will conduct their experiment and collect their data. The actual experimentation can begin as early as mid-January. but must be completed by end of February. To maintain student safety and ensure ethical projects, we are committed to making sure that each student project meets the Massachusetts State Safety Guidelines. Even though this science inquiry spans 5 months, each student is given instructions for each step of the Science Fair process. Science Fair Club meets every Thursday from 1:45 -2:30pm for students who need extra support, would like to meet with their partners and for those who would like to conduct investigations at a higher level. We are very excited with the array of topics being covered this year, so save Thursday April 15, 2010 for our evening Science Fair Open House. Keep thinking like a scientist, Ms. Valerie Finnerty, Ms. Beth Stephenson; 8th grade science 7th grade science
