religion, sexual preference, or any other illegal basis for granting or denying a Beryl V. Smith Scholarship award. Selection of applications for the Beryl V. Smith Scholarship will be done annually and may include selection on a first-come, first-served basis, best essay, and/or other non- discriminatory means as selected by a selecting panel, in the panel’s sole discretion. The amount of each Beryl V. Smith Scholarship and the total number of scholarships granted will depend upon the funds available and number of applicants on a year-to-year basis. Package of Prevention reserves the right in its sole discretion to establish the Beryl V. Smith Scholarship amounts and number of Beryl V. Smith Scholarship awards in each calendar year, if any. Applicants may receive no more than one Beryl V. Smith Scholarship per calendar year. Beryl V. Smith Scholarships are non-transferable, and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash. Scholarship recipients may re-apply for awards in subsequent years. Any and all applicable federal, state, local taxes, as well as any other taxes, fines, fees or the like, are the responsibility of the Beryl V. Smith Scholarship recipient. Package of Prevention will not expect or be due any fees in exchange for an applicant's participation in the Beryl V. Smith Scholarship Program. By participating, applicants agree to release Package of Prevention, its respective subsidiaries and affiliates, directors, employees and agents, and sponsors, from and against any and all liability for any injury or loss caused by or resulting from entry or participation in the Beryl V. Smith Scholarship
