Dorsett Madness #10 by Jim Jones
Much work has occurred on my Dorset since I wrote up article Dorset Madness #9. Peter and I moved our attention to the front of the car’s body.
In the firewall area, the top, the shelf, and the lower firewalls have been replaced with new custom made sheet metal, as were the foot wells and the front floor boards. Peter produced all of these sections from flat sheet metal panels.
Replacement takes a lot of sheet metal, but it certainly looks much better than patch work repair.
The battery holder on the left hand top firewall has been repositioned to the center of the firewall.
Peter has completed the major sheet metal replacement work and will soon move on to lesser repairs such as the replacement of the front drain gutters.
