FOREIGN NATIONALS REGISTRATION The Government has made it mandatory that all foreign nationals coming for treatment be registered with the foreign registration office and Vellore North Police Station within 24 hours of arrival at CMC. Registration forms will be made available at the MCTT Counters & OPD Reception for out-patients. For in-patients who are directly admitted please ensure that the PRO is informed for assistance. Registration forms will be made available in PRO and 'A' Block office for in-patients.

VISA Extension For extension of VISA, get a letter from the doctor mentioning the reason for your stay. Contact Foreign registration office near Collectorate, Sathuvachari with the following documents: xerox copies of passport, dollar exchange certificate, photo- graph, proof of residence (4 copies each in case of 1 month and 6 copies each for more than one month).VISA extension letter will not be given to those patients whose treat- ment is over and 5 days are left for VISA expiry.

TICKET BOOKINGS

Though there are a few travel agents in Vellore near CMC (main campus), it is advisable to book your tickets at the Katpadi Railway station booking counter or Vellore cantonment station which is 2 km from the main campus.

THE CHAPLAINCY DEPARTMENT

Spiritual and pastoral care are offered to all patients and their families by Chaplaincy department. It is located on the ground floor of the main hospital building near the Chapel. CMC believes that at the heart of all its medical care spiritual health forms a unity with physical and mental health. There-

fore, ministering to the

spiritual needs of patients and their

relatives is seen as an integral part of the healing process. The CMC staff as a whole strive to demonstrate in all their daily work the belief that faith is a necessary component of

healing.

of

health

care.

A chaplain can be called to service at any time either by notifying the ward sister or contacting the Chaplaincy by phone on 2016.
