POSTERS

While posters are less effective as sources of information, they are excellent for attracting attention and reminding audiences about your event. Many venues have poster display boards.

  • Strong visuals are the key to a successful poster campaign. They must stand out on a wall full of other posters and work as a branding exercise for your show.

  • Most posters are A2 or A3 in size. A3 is more popular at the Fringe as many places refuse oversized posters in August because there is too much competition for space.

  • Paper for posters can be lighter than that used for leaflets; 115gsm is ideal.

  • Don’t fly-post. It’s illegal!

  • All the necessary information − the what, where and when is provided without fuss and backed up by an über cool image.
