1 Inadvertant language in first sentence of Jeynes’ text describing this variable suggests that variables pertaining to knowing parents of other children should be included. However, the next sentence clearly states that only the variables listed in this description of PI2Checking are to be included in the regression. Nevertheless, variables pertaining to knowing parents of children’s friends = BYP59DA (1st mother), BYP59DB (2nd mother), BYP59DC (3rd mother), BYP59EA (1st father), BYP59EB (2nd father), BYP59EC (3rd father). The knowing parents variables have, nonetheless, been recoded as an alternate choice.
