Our associate production facilities take part-processed sugars and syrups from the refinery and transform them into a wide range of treacles, syrups and speciality products

Our sugar is grown in tropical countries (Africa, The Caribbean and Pacific) and transported and refined with a low CO2 impact.

THAMES SUGAR REFINERY

Founded in 1878 by Henry Tate our Thames Refinery is one of the largest cane sugar refineries in the world and boasts some impressive statistics.

It is capable of processing up to 170 tonnes of raw cane sugar every hour

Annually, it processes over one million tonnes of raw cane sugar

Raw cane sugar is brought directly to the refinery jetty in ships of up to 35,000 tonnes – some of the largest vessels still in use on the Thames

whom we source our raw sugar.

3 Fair trading will help ensure a livelihood for farmers and the Fairtrade premium will be invested to improve their long term prospects. Our organically farmed sugar helps to minimise

damage to the environment.
