 SEQUENCING

Coordination and responsibility for supply of items to be placed on or in the structure to allow place- ment of precast concrete units depends on type of structure and varies with local practice.  Clearly specify responsibility for supply and installation of hardware.  If not supplied by precast concrete fabricator, supplier should be listed and requirements included in related trade sections.  When the building frame is structural steel, erection hardware welded to the steel frame should be supplied and installed as part of the structural steel.  Ensure that type and quantity of hardware items to be cast into precast concrete units for use of other trades are specified or detailed in contract drawings and furnished to fabricator, with instructions, in a timely manner in order not to delay the Work.

A.
