REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN GENDER STUDIES (REVISED FOR 2008)

A minimum of six (6) courses (18 credits), chosen from the following:

Level I

GEND1103 Theoretical Concepts and Sources of Knowledge

Level II/III

GEND2201 Women’s Studies: An Introduction to Feminist Theories OR GEND2202 Women and Development in the Caribbean AND EITHER GEND3701 Men and Masculinities in the Caribbean: Theoretical Perspectives OR GEND3702 Contemporary Issues of Men & Masculinity in the Caribbean

REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN HISTORY

For the Minor in History, students will be required to take six (6) courses for eighteen (18) credits, distributed as follows:

Level I

1.

HIST1703 Introduction to History

Level II

2-4.

Any three (3) Level II History courses

Level III

5-6.

Any two (2) Level III History courses

*Students wishing to do this course must have done the prerequisites.
