Creating New Performance Measures

Creating Corrective Action Workflows for New Performance Measures (Optional)

If you want to launch a corrective action when a performance measure falls out of tolerance, then you must create a workflow. This step is optional and should be performed by an administrator. For more information on workflows and how to create workflows, see the Oracle Workflow User Guide.

Note that PM Framework automatically sends workflow notifications to the users that are associated with the performance measure’s target. You do not need to create a separate workflow to notify users that a performance measure is out of tolerance.

To create a workflow for a performance measure, do the following:

1.

Create a new workflow. For information on how to create a workflow, see Oracle Workflow User Guide.

2.

Create and monitor a new workflow process.

Note: When you define the Workflow's Item Type, ensure that it contains "BISW" in the name.

Once you have created a new workflow and workflow process, proceed to Step 3: Defining New Performance Measures on page 3-7
