Preface

Welcome to Release 11i.6 of the Oracle E-Business Intelligence Performance Management Framework and Performance Management Viewer User Guide.

This guide describes how to implement and use the Oracle E-Business Intelligence Performance Management Framework and Performance Management Viewer.

Database Administrator

The Database Administrator installs and configures the Oracle database and maintains database access controls. This person provides consultation on performance and is responsible for monitoring the growth and fragmentation of the production database, and for ensuring database backup and recovery.

System Administrator

The System Administrator is responsible for administering the development system. This person’s responsibilities include:

Ensuring that hardware is correctly configured Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating and development software Ensuring that the system is backed up daily

Designing and maintaining system security, for example, establishing system accounts
