VMI Crest (mandatory)

On the Class B shirt:

Men: The VMI Crest is worn directly above the top of the right pocket, centered above the nameplate. Women: The VMI Crest is worn centered and approximately 1/4 inch above the nameplate

Pull-over sweater: (only VMI Crest, no Regimental Crests)

Men and Women: The VMI Crest is worn in the upper right quadrant of the black patch approximately 1/4 inch above the nameplate. (See illustration on page 16.)

Regimental Crest Active or retired military personnel may wear their Regimental Crest in place of the VMI Crest.

On the Class B shirt as follows:

Men: The VMI Crest is worn directly above the top of the right pocket, centered above the nameplate.

Women: The VMI Crest is worn centered and approximately 1/4 inch above the nameplate

On the Class A Jacket:

Men and Women: The Regimental Crest is worn on the shoulder flaps of the Class A Jacket half way between the rank and the button. (See illustration on page 24.)

Ribbons (optional) Ribbons, medals, or patches representing awards received during federal military service may be worn as appropriate.VMI Achievement Medal and VMI Longevity Ribbon may also be worn; if worn with federal awards, they will be worn last in precedence. Only authorized foreign patches and emblems will be worn on the uniform.
