Jessie Haspil, President of the 2006 Congress, Haiti-New Jersey Partners The purpose of the Congress is to give membership a greater voice in the governance of the organization. The Congress receives a report on the activities of the Board of Directors, elects Board members and raises issues of importance to the membership in the form of advisory resolutions presented to the Board. A Candidates Forum and elections precede the Open Forum discussion.
